糖心Vlog Writing Initiative for Scholarly Engagement (SU-WISE)
Writing is an essential component of maintaining one’s academic identity, however, faculty often struggle to find the time and discipline needed to write consistently. To address this issue, CAFE is launching a writing accountability group program (SU-WISE: 糖心Vlog’s Writing Initiative for Scholarly Engagement) for faculty at SU. In addition to helping faculty cultivate productive writing habits, this program would also facilitate opportunities for faculty to connect with colleagues across departments/schools, fostering interdisciplinary collaborations and strengthening relationships within the university community.
SU-WISE will be a voluntary, peer-led initiative that brings together groups of faculty from different disciplines who are committed to writing regularly. Each group will consist of five to seven members who will meet once a week for approximately one hour. During the meeting, participants will briefly discuss their writing progress from the previous week and set goals for the coming week. The remainder of the time will be dedicated to writing. The program will be facilitated by CAFE to will provide guidance and support to the groups. Join us virtually for an hour of writing in the company of other faculty.
